Nursing Nurse’s name- Samantha Jemison Registered Nurse @ Community Health Services
I chose nursing for my career field. I interviewed Samantha Jemison. She has been a nurse for 10 years. She attended Capital Community College for 4 years. The nursing program was 2 years, but she took her prerequisites prior to the nursing program. She doesn't have any regrets. The hardest time for her in school was traveling to the clinicals and studying for the exam. She became a nurse because she wanted to make a difference in her community.
Samantha starting pay was 28 dollars per hour. She didn't gain benefits until after a month of service. They gave her health and dental insurance. She works Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM. She does not work on weekends or holidays and gets paid time off on the major holidays. Samantha also received 20 days off yearly after working for 6 months. She gets to use these days for sick time or vacation time. I asked her, “would you do it all over again?” She responded, “of course, nursing is my passion and I have found my practice to be not only rewarding for me, but I touch the lives of many each and every day”. Therefore, she doesn't have any regrets. The hardest time for her in school was traveling to the clinicals and studying for the exam. It was a pleasure interview with Samantha. She encouraged me to continue to pursue my goal as becoming a registered nurse.
